At the age of ten she and her cousin would have discussions and make big plans for their clothing design goals once they got older and talked about how they would live in New York- the big city of dreams! This came from her passion of sewing and learning how to make and create her own pieces of clothing.

While Sydney was gifted artistically and creatively, she was equally gifted intellectually and athletically leading her to an offer to play Division I Volleyball in the Big South conference at Hampton University in Virginia. Sydney always inspiring herself to dream big and to never settle challenged herself the first year of college in addition to her athletics to stay committed to her entrepreneurial goals by writing her goals down on her mirror and keeping them top of mind.

The birth of Syd Baby’s World, LLC is a dream realized from commitment, sacrifices, discipline and sweat equity to let nothing stop her from accomplishing her goals. Two years later as she finishes her sophomore year at North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, NC, she is on the Chancellors list with a highly regarded thirty-two product line for people of color. Sydney is two years into her goal to become the largest producer and manufacturer of beauty products for people of color with ingredients like shea butter, moringa & papaya oil, seeds & leaves, and black soap castor oil directly from the continent of Africa. Sydney currently resides in Greensboro, NC while she is in school and lives in her home in Charlotte, NC during the summer.
